Position Overview

Gallopade is seeking multiple Contract Graphic Designers to join our rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate has exceptional InDesign skills, a passion for visual storytelling, a strong sense of design, and the ability to transform concepts into compelling, communicative print and digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and use InDesign styles, color palettes, master pages, font libraries, and other “best practices” to achieve professional design results and workflow efficiencies

• Incorporate impactful visuals including photographs, icons, illustrations, charts, tables, timelines, and other graphical elements to make content accessible and engaging

• Make design revisions and text edits accurately and in a timely manner

• Maintain brand consistency by ensuring designs align with brand guidelines and maintain a seamless look throughout all projects

• Prepare final design files for digital and print production, ensuring quality and accuracy

• Follow, improve, and establish product development workflows and documentation

• Collaborate with other designers, writers, editors, digital developers, project management, and company management

• Brainstorm and develop new creative concepts for products

• Stay up to date on new technology and trends to keep our products current and our processes streamlined

Skills and Qualifications

• Expert InDesign skills with proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator

• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and branding principles

• Experience with both digital and print design

• Excellent communication and time-management skills

• Attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines

• Knowledge of HTML/CSS basics is a plus

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (Required)

• 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in educational curriculum (Required)
