Position Overview:
Gallopade is seeking College History Major Interns for Summer 2025. You will research and
fact-check a wide variety of our curriculum's elementary and middle school educational
materials. You will work directly with the New Product Development (NPD) team to research and resolve any potential issues. This position provides hands-on experience in historical research methods, developing educational content, and adhering to publishing standards.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about history. Someone who is looking to gain experience in history curriculum development and quality control would enjoy this role. We are looking for a detail-oriented person who can excel in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities in This Role:
Conduct thorough fact-checking of historical content in curriculum books and educational materials
Research historical events, figures, and periods using primary and secondary sources
Verify the accuracy of dates, names, places, maps, and historical narratives
Assist in quality control reviews of digital course materials
Compile research findings into clear, organized reports
Support the development team with accurate refinement of materials
Help maintain consistency and accuracy across multiple curriculum products
Identify and correct historical inaccuracies or outdated interpretations
Collaborate with the NPD team, communicate effectively and in a timely manner
Experience:
Currently pursuing a degree in History or a related field
Strong research skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with historical research methodologies and sources
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to evaluate the credibility and reliability of historical sources
Basic knowledge of curriculum development (preferred)
Proficiency with research databases and digital archives
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Job Details:
This is a paid internship opportunity.
20-30 hours a week, start and end dates are flexible depending on school schedule.
