Position Overview
The Director of eLearning will lead the development and implementation of innovative eLearning experiences in the Gallopade Online Platform to engage and support students in successfully learning state-aligned academic content taught through the Gallopade Curriculum. The Director will work with various departments to develop and update a roadmap for the eLearning experience, applying principles of instructional design, learning science, and innovation. The Director will develop and lead a team of experts in instructional technology and instructional design to ensure the creation and delivery of user-centric content solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define and document functional requirements and expected outcomes for digital learning resources, lessons, videos, and games.
Develop and lead a team of experts in instructional design, graphic design, instructional technology, and multimedia production.
Develop and manage project roadmaps and plans, including defining scope, goals, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources required.
Lead the design and actively participate in development of interactive and innovative eLearning solutions alongside the team through the creation of prototyping, templating, and execution of interactive lessons, simulations, games, and videos.
Promote cross-team and cross-functional collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing to ensure successful implementation of digital assets in the Gallopade Online Platform.
Continuously research and evaluate new content formats, technologies, vendors, and trends that encourage engagement, accessibility, and an interactive learning experience.
Collect and analyze user feedback, usage patterns, and performance metrics in collaboration with Customer Success, New Product Development, and Learning Technology teams to drive data-informed roadmap priorities and product innovation.
Skills and Qualifications
Deep understanding of learning science, instructional design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and UX/UI principles.
Proficient with learning management systems (LMS), eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate, Unity, Adobe Creative Suite, and generative AI.
Experience leading concurrent projects with cross-functional dependencies, managing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Skilled at facilitating cross-functional collaboration and building consensus among stakeholders with competing priorities.
Commitment to excellence in user experience, content accuracy, and technical functionality across all deliverables.
Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university, Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years in eLearning content design with preferred experience in elementary, middle, or high school level academic content.
At least 5 years of experience in leadership of an eLearning or educational technology development team.
Experience transforming print-based curriculum into engaging, digital-first learning experiences.
Track record of leading organizational change from traditional to digital content development models.
Location
Gallopade's Peachtree City Headquarters/Remote considered. If remote, required periodic travel to the headquarters office.
