POSITION OVERVIEW
Gallopade is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing company as part of our Product Development team. The Project Manager will support the planning, execution, and delivery of print and digital educational resources for grades K-8. This role is a key contributor within the Product Development Department and will report to the Senior Project Manager.
The Project Manager will contribute to the successful development and release of new print and digital products, features, enhancements, updates, and corrections. This position will help ensure deliverables are completed in scope, on time, and within budget to meet stakeholder expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE
● Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for curriculum product development
● Help manage project scope, identifying potential risks and escalating appropriately
● Support the Senior Product Manager in tracking start to end development projects, milestones, and overall deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
● Participate in pre-planning of product development projects following the waterfall methodology and release schedules
● Assist in leading project meetings and preparing status reports for stakeholders
● Help coordinate communication between editorial, design, and production
● Support quality control processes at various stages of development
● Assist in managing smaller projects independently while learning to handle larger initiatives
● Contribute to the collection and analysis of project metrics to improve processes
● Maintain accurate project documentation and update project management systems
● Support budget tracking and resource allocation for assigned projects
KEY COMPETENCIES

● Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
● Experience in educational publishing, curriculum development, or instructional design preferred
● Familiarity with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies
EXPERIENCE
● BA/BS degree, or related field
● Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, product development, or related field
● Experience in the publication industry specifically in educational products is HIGHLY preferred.
● PMP Certification or Relevant Degree Required
